The DCMi Success-based Implementation Platform™ is based on a research model that we call the DCMi Implementation Success Factors™ model. The research model was set up to track successful implementation efforts. In order to do this, a set of criteria were established for what made up a successful implementation effort.
A series of questions were then posed to focussed on eliciting the activities that were essential in delivering the successful outcome in the view of the participant. Beginning at the end of the effort and working to the beginning, the questions uncovered the factors that participants thought were critical to and contributed most to success across 5 significant stages of implementation – mobilization, planning, design, implementation and sustain.
Initially a total of 50+ people were interviewed; based on that data, an additional 25 were further interviewed. All participants held at least 10 years of implementation experience in global roles, and had led or directly participated in global implementation efforts of significant size. Since validation of the initial factors, that initial database of 750 man-years of experience today has town to over 25,000 man-years of experience, and continues to grow.
The DCMi Platform incorporates insights from over 20+ industry-leading strategy and change implementation models and methodologies, including tools from sectors like Healthcare, IT, Financial Services, Automotive/Manufacturing, Oil and Gas among others.
These methodologies are periodically reviewed for their relevance and integration with current research, ensuring that our platform remains cutting-edge and practical for a wide array of industries.
The DCMi Platform draws from the latest academic research and industry publications to identify emerging trends and validated approaches to change implementation and digital transformation.
Our approach combines academic insights with real-world cases and data, ensuring the most relevant and effective solutions are available to our users.
The DCMi Platform provides access to a global norms database, offering a dynamic, continuously updated repository of implementation success factors. But this is only one version of the model.
The real beauty of DCMi’s model is that any team or organization can create their own Implementation Success Factors database and profile from the model. They can also compare their findings with DCMi’s global SuccessFactors database.
The platform also includes real-time data analytics dashboards that deliver actionable insights for change leaders, HR professionals, and consultants, ensuring success in every phase of digital transformation.
